Geotechnical and Geophysical studies help determine how the characteristics of the soil conditions on the site will respond to the weight of a proposed structure or drainage characteristics associated with the structure.
GEAR’s geotechnical and civil engineers have been providing these services since 1986. Our experience in geotechnical design, construction, and evaluation provide the expertise needed to meet design lifespan challenges.
We conduct site investigations, including surface and subsurface exploration involving soil sampling and laboratory tests of the soil samples retrieved, geotechnical professional walking on the site to observe the physical conditions at the site, boring, and in situ tests.
Construction Materials Testing
GEAR can conduct Construction Materials Testing and provide Inspection services for compliance with required building codes for new projects from the ground up, new additions or new components being added to an existing facility.
The permeability of a soil is the ability of water to move through it depending on its properties. GEAR conducts permeability testing to assess natural soils, fills or clay liners in environmental and geotechnical applications.
